You are:
A Senior Trademark Attorney and Supervisor who is full of energy and enthusiasm, and be able to lead the TM team protect clients' intellectual property rights. You can deliver excellent drafting and other legal proceeding results in taking professional care of clients' intangible assets in China and South-East Asia.

Reporting line: Partner, Head of Anti-counterfeiting & Head of Trademark

Responsibilities:
    Independently Coordinating and supervising all intellectual property prosecution related works
      including but not limited to all the procedures regarding application, assignment, disputes,
      oppositions, cancellations, registrations, etc.;
    Meeting assigned billing targets by managing the department billing process, monitoring the TM
      department activities and finding improvements to increase the billing;
    Improving the business experience by effectively manage the work assignment to the Attorneys (also
      in relation to the client managed by them and their peculiarities );
    Defining and agreeing with the General Manager and Partners the department's strategy: find new
      work opportunities from existing clients and new clients;
    Leading the team to monitoring Trademark Office database for infringing applications;
    Advising clients how to use, choose, register and protect Trademarks, promote new Trademarks and
      design and copyright;
    Dealing with the region (China) and overseas registration authorities;
    Negotiating in disputes, and taking action if the client's trade mark rights are being broken;
    Handling renewals of existing trademarks, transfer of ownership and licensing;
    Reviewing draft response to clients addressing questions and concerns and proposing proactive
      solutions;
    Liaising with officials, maintaining files and databases;
    Monitoring deadlines for files assigned and files of the TM team;
    Maintaining communications and relationship with external Agents;
    Training and supervising department's members;
    Solving problems for the department;
    Motivating department's members and keep a good environment;
    Reporting to Partners of department's work and management of team members timely;
    Dealing with client's visit to China, meeting clients directly when necessary.

Requirements
    Bachelor degree or above preferred. Major in English or Law is a plus;
    Good spoken and written English;
    5+ years' experience in the IP Field and 2 years working as a trademark agent, preferably in
      international law firms;
    2+ years' managing experience of work assignment, activities and the billing;
    Excellent attention to detail, proactivity and confidentiality;
    Able of working under pressure and meeting tight deadline;
    Good negotiating skills and teamwork spirit;
    Practical expertise and able to supervise the team operative process giving qualified advice and show
      the right way to do things;
    Experience in managing a team;
    Ability to communicate in an effective and professional manner with all office personnel, clients, and
      officials;
    Ability to make judgement and quick decisions, and to work well under pressure;
    A team player, could build a friendly relationship with coworkers, clients and government;
    Must be able to work independently but integrate well in a team-oriented and result-oriented
      environment;
    Detail-minded, profit-minded, initiative, proactivity and confidentiality;
    Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat Writer, etc.).
